What is the average housing cost where you live? / myLot

Here in Orlando, Florida, it is absolutely ridiculous. Housing costs are crazy, while the average income is below the U.S. average. It is time for us to move.

I live in San Diego and even with the housing crunch going on right now, we still have an average buying price of at least half a million. And, that's for all areas, including the poorer areas like where I live. Condos often start about about $200,000, I think. I think I heard that the average rent for a one bedroom is something like $1100 a month here, and about $1300 a month overall, but I don't pay that much.
