Welcome to myLot. We sould not also forget corn, root crops such as cassava, camote Or sweet potato. In some regions in our country they prioritize to maintain quality product on their rootcrops because these is their food specially on rainy seasons. They can't produce rice because of their location and the weather condition they have all throughout the year.
A meal is not complete without rice. Rice is a very rih source of carbohydrates needed for daily work. A fried rice and egg with hot chocolate is already a good breakfast to me.

India is predominantly an agriculture country, having 60 to 65% of the population engaged in agriculture and allied industry. We grow rice, wheat, jowar, ragi, besides all pulses, cash crops, all vegetables etc. REgarding staple food, in North India, Wheat is the staple food and in South India, it is rice and ragi are the stable food.

Hello there my friend.I am also from the Philippines, yes rice is the staple food, it also includes corn and cassava. Corn and cassava could also be used if there is no rice, the banana is also one of the options if the three are not present.
Generally rice is what is commonly used here in our country, we are a rice eating country and its what we have in most of our tables and it is eaten with our favorite viand, fish meat, and vegetables.
