what's the safest most effective way to gain weight?

i tried vitamins but it doesn't work for me... i don't always have a hearty appetite, but sometimes i eat a lot! how do i gain weight? i think i'd look a lot better if i gain some extra pounds... HELP!

I was really thin too before eventhough i eat alot and its really alot but still didn't gain weight. I was a 90lbs hehe but right now im 100lbs in a span of 4 months. What i noticed is i eat heavy breakfast regularly and have enough sleep, that's when i started to notice im gaining weight. Vitamins don't work for me too. Try a healthy diet like eating vegetables and fruits it will surely help. Goodluck!

Go see your personal doctor about it... I was always skinny and tried many ways to gain weight (but never could not) than i went to see my personal doctor and she gave my few advices (taking in consideration my body type, and lifestyle, my body's condition, everything to be short) so she gave me a advice that i should take vitamins eat normally and at the same time do a lot of upper body exercises (i was thiner in upper body) and few other exercises. She also gave me an advice on which kind of a food should i eat more and so... heh i was on a diet lol
I gained healthy muscular weight, my body shaped nicely.
But this did not happen over the night.
doing just one thing is not enough
