Ghostwriters on myLot? A visit to the myLot community pages.

Did you ever visit the pages: users by rating? No, it's not the star rating but the number of posts people send to myLot which counts. There are actually 2030 pages with 50 users named on each. I went to the last page which starts with people who sent 1 response. Guess how many pages of rating 1 users are there? I counted them, and it were 270, corresponding to about 14000 people who signed up, posted 1, and never did again. I didn't proceed to the 2- and 3-time posters, but there must be many of them also. Myself I've got only 2 referrals and one is very lazy and the other never said so much as hello. Seems that among the 101 and something thousand myLotters exist many "ghostwriters". Any idea what to do about?

There is not anything to do. MyLot wants to have the number of users appear as high as possible. This precludes removing inactive users.

Sure, but I didn't exactly think of removing them but of incentivating their revival. The could send them a mail, and invite them to have a second look. Normally people react positive when somebody notices their absence. Thanks.

Your idea is certainly better than mine. I'd bet myLot would appreciate it if you sent them a message.

I agree Mylot should send everyone like an update email or something, that might remind some people who joined that they are a member here... Im sure that most of the "Ghostwriters" came expecting quick cash, and didn't get it fast enough... y'know?

Hmm, that might be a reason. But with only 1 post? Thanks.
