addresses so I could write to them and ask them to send my mom an autographed picture for her 81st birthday- well - I found a site with lots of celebrity addresses and sent out the letters last month- well my mom has been getting one or two a week- she is absolutely loving this- she is on cloud nine. So far she has gotten: Phyllis Diller, Dom Deluise, Bob Barker, James Earl Jones, Vikki Laurence, Bill COsby, Wayne Newton, Mike Farrel and many more . SHe also got some things from such teams as Detroit Pistons and Cincinatti Reds.
SO many people have commented on what a good idea it was- I just thought I'd share the info...and if anyone knows an celebrity address - please by all means post them here- I am still sending them out.

Some days she doesn't get anything- and then suddenly she will get a big package from someone- I just hope it keeps going till her birthday in two weeks.
Well if you research the address on the internet and write to them you can hold onto it for Christmas or something, bet your kids would be thrilled.

That's wonderful to hear. What a lovely, thoughtful idea. I bet you Mum was thrilled wasn't she? I'm impressed that you got autographs sent back, to be honest i'd have been really sceptical and probaly wouldn't have even got to the point of posting the letters requesting them. Over here in the UK were given addresses that turn out to be fanmail addresses and then you constantly get written to and asked to become a member. It's great news that your Mum got some autographs.

Well I think it was a lovely idea to do for your Mum, and I can imagine her enjoying the idea that all these letters wll arrive on her doorstep! She really must be on cloud 9! Thanks for giving us an update on your original discussion, and glad it worked out so well.
