That is so sweet. My hubby doesn't have access to a computer on a regular basis or that would be an idea :)

When my partner is on day shift he will usually ring me a couple of times during the day to see how we are, I really like this as alot of the time he is the only person that I get to talk to during the day! If I am at work and not too busy I will give him a ring and have a chat or we will sms each other.

My spouse is retired now, but when he was working, he was a security guard. We would chat all night on the internet, only taking breaks when he had to do his nightly rounds. This was an every night thing with us. It made his nights go alot faster and we enjoyed the time spent chatting, since we met on the internet in the first place. Now that he is retired and we both have computers, we still chat to each other in IM, guess old habits die hard. lolol

I talk to my husband a minimum of once per day. I'm a stay at home mom and my husband drives truck. He is home every night (that hasn't always been the case). We still call each other though, because we seem to be so busy at night and the kids want our attention that it's really hard to talk to each other a lot of the time.

I can so relate to this. We go over each others schedule and things we need to remember to tell each other during our daytime call. We can't always guarantee that we will remember to mention things when our son is demanding so much of our attention.

There is a cafe across the street from where we are living. I often call him just as I am leaving, and ask him to please pick me up on his way home from work to save me the walk home. It also gives us a little bit of time together, before getting home to the rest of the household.

My wife and I talk everyday while we are at work; she and I just send e-mails back and forth to each other. It's not instant communication, but it works pretty fast because both of our companies have pretty fast networks. Plus, not getting answers back and forth right way allows us the opportunity to get work done in-between communication so that we don't get in trouble and get all our work done.

Yes, we talk at least once per day. My husband has a stressful job and he says that it makes his day and keeps him grounded to speak to me and our son. He then usually always calls as he is leaving work to see if he can stop and get anything on his way home. I think our daytime communication is an important aspect of our family life. My son LOVES speaking to daddy during the day.

Well, i don't have a husband yet but i have a boyfriend, so i guess i can still relate. Me and my boyfriend talk a lot despite of busy schedules. If our work schedules does not permit us to talk either on msn messenger, yahoo, sms or phone call, we make sure to give a message during breaktime. A ten minute time during breaktime means a lot to us, we make sure not to loose communication in a day. If this will happen, we will gonna miss each other a lot.

My husband calls me every day during his lunch hour just to see how I'm doing and check in. His idea, not mine...but I love that he wants to talk to me in the middle of his day.

I get busy a lot of times and I don't get to call my husband. He is a construction worker and I know he is really busy most days anyway. We are having to share a cell phone anyway, so that makes it difficult.:P The nice thing is that right now, him and his dad's crew are building are house and our land is right behind where we live now. If I'm home, he comes in to visit me.:)

Most days my husband will call me during his lunch break to check on me and the baby. He normally only talks a second, but I guess I should appreciate him checking on us. If he has to work late, he will call to let me know too. Normally, that's about all I talk to him during the day though.

My husband calls me every night from work, faithfully. He does not let a night go by that he does not call.

I usually talk to my husband at least once a day while he's at work. And I always wake up in the morning before he goes to work to kiss him goodbye. It just doesn't feel right if I don't.
