hey guys im in a slight panic right now. I have ad-aware to scan my computer for spyware etc. I thought it was doing its job fairly well!
I just downloaded Spy Doctor and done a scan straight away. It said it found 321 different applications , some of which were rated HIGH and ELEVATED. The thing is when i clicked to fix everything it took me to a registry page.
i just wonder if it is just trying to make me buy it or if my computer really is infected.
Are there any good FREE programs i can use?
thanx

Spy Sweeper is one of the very best, if you don't mind forking out the annual subscription.

I'll leave two comments:
First - buy a MAC (LOL, no really, ... :0)
Second - I was always told to use different programs cause they catch different things. I use spybot and adware and now AVG on my PC.
OK - one more, always do a custom install and don't use all those toolbars and crap they try and install on your computer. If you become very protective over your PC, you'll have it a lot longer. I've had the same Dell for over 5 years with no major problems. But, I'm funatic about cleaning it, defragging, and so on.
