Controlling the weather?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this one? There is a new show on the Discovery Channel about scientists controling the weather. Of corse they want to prevent disasters, whitch can be a good thing for people, but at what costs, global warming, ice caps melting? What about the military aspect of it, using weather as a weapon? How do you feel about this?
