Is the state of the nation address of the president really help the economy...
president telling the true reports about her job or she is only lying of the truth to cover-up?

well, it's really nice to know that the government has done things that we're not aware of. like the airports they were able to complete, and some are still being constructed.
i think that the sona is a good way to tell the nation of the president's plans, and she said it very well. i just hope it'll help us all.

To be fair with GMA, though majority of our people already wants her out and really hated her, it must be stated that the government is still doing something for the betterment of the people. No government is ever perfect. Even the government of Ferdinand Marcos who was considered a genius, was never perfect. Even the government of saintly looking Cory Aquino (am still her fan) was never free from anomaly. No president could ever give us the perfect government unless we the people will really do our own share for development. Development is a two-way traffic. If we just let the government do its own part, then we could not expect fast development. Easy said than done, anyway.
The last SONA showed to a lot of people that there are already a lot of projects that had been finished, still have to be finished and a lot on planninhg board. It is never easy to work out those projects into completion.
Well, this is the nation we have. We might as well emphasize the positive rather than concentrate on getting the negative things.

To be fair, the SONA has never a direct effect to the economy but rather it is the accomplishments to be followed after the SONA that will have tremendous power to uplift our economy. But what does it mean by economic upliftment or development? It depends on different people. For most of us, this could mean jobs or business or lower consumer prices.
Most ordinary Filipino would always gauge the prices of the basic commodities as their primary measurement if the economy is working or not. However, inflation will always go up, in any economy no matter how strong, inflation will always be there. So I think the most important thing is the job generations and business climate improvement to make the private sector be the primary engine of development.
The last SONA of GMA was never perfect (hey, who got delivered a perfect SONA, anyway?) There were items that were left behind and not thoroughly tackled. Well, the SONA is never the last time the government will expound on the projects and programs, anyway.

For me SONA does help in telling the whole nation what direction the present administration is trying to pursue. It is also a good instrument to measure if the present administration is doing the right thing for the nation. But as to the reports of accomplishments done is still questionable whether or not they really materialized or is it just for the show. If you would compare to so many SONA's of the past presidents there are many flaws and many did not even materialized.
But I do believe that every president must be given the privilege to present what he/she has done to our nation. Whether he/she is telling the truth is another thing to answer to.
