Do you say hi to strangers?

Do you say hi to strangers? Why or why not? Are there certain instances where you'd be more likely to say hi or do you never say hi.
I tend to say hi if I end up making eye contact with a stranger. Other than that I'm usually too busy to notice or think to say hi.
Do you think the world would be a different place if people were to say hi to everyone else?

I normally don't say hi to any strangers. Probably just a nod or a smile if I've passed the strangers a couple of time. Definitely nothing for a total stranger that I've just seen that day. Why? I dont know. I ain't really good in being friendly with strangers. I don't like it when people start talking to me as well. I'm such a antisocial person. Hehehe.. No idea how to start making friends with new people.

Yes I often say Hi to strangers especially if I make eye contact and smile, if they seem friendly or say Hi first of course I will reply.... I feel happier when somebody aknowledges me and says hi..... I think it would be a friendlier place if everybody said hi, but I think there is too much insecurity, people don't trust others so stay to themselves......

Yes I say hi to strangers.People love me for being gregarious.

Yeah.The problem is, most people are kinda replusive(i mean a**holes) for you to say hi too.Either they ignore you or give you a bad look and start a fight.Other times like me they are very shy since i always think people hate me(which at most they do).But when people make eye contact and give the impression of smiling, i smile back and say hi

Hi there. Yes when Im out walking in the mornings I often pass other walkers, who are strangers, they would say hello to me and I would reply back to them with a hello, hows your morning going, hi wonderful morning is it, or hello what a beautiful morning and everytime they agree, say hi or hello and walk on smiling...

Yes I do say hi to strangers. I am in the position where I meet alot of strangers and if I didn't say hi...well I could get awful lonely! Back where I grew up everyone said hi to one another. I do think the world could be a bit better if we connected more even by simply saying hello!

Yeah, I say hi to strangers. I spent five years in a small town as a teenager, and everyone said hi to you when you walked by. I picked up the habit myself. People look at me strangely when I do it, but I figure that is ok. After all, I am pretty strange. ;)
