Can anyone teach me how to knit?

I have always wondered how you knit shirts and stuff and I am VERY interested in this subject ever a year ago when i saw a real knitted shirt someone had made, does anyone that know how to knit help me?

Unfortunately I don't know how to knit. My mom knows it quite well. In fact most of my son's sweaters are made by my mom. My son is very lucky. As one day his child can't have a sweater from his grandma...
