I love Family Guy! I would never let my kids watch it though. It can get pretty raunchy. I think it is an adults only cartoon.

They probably are too much for really young kids, elementary age. But once kids are in junior high school, I doubt either of those shows say anything the kids don't hear in school anyway.

I love both of those shows. I don't think it's too much for my boys but I'm with them and can explain things.
I let my 13 year old watch most of the South Parks with me. That show is some of the best satire there is now. People don't get the real message they have with the episodes. It's good for kids to see the obsurdity surrounding them for what it is.

I definitely think younger kids shouldn't watch it. I love it though and about pee myself every time I watch them. Family Guy has really gotten pretty rank lately! lol But like all television, we're the parent... turn it off if they have it on or block it!

Yes yes yes family guy and south park are too crude for kids. They are not harmless and they have adult content. That is just to much for a child even though they are exposed to alot at earlier ages now adays. God Bless

I don't think that either of those cartoons are meant for children. I am pretty sure the target audience is young adults and adults. I know that there is no way my children would watch either of those shows. There are things on Nickolodean that I won't let them watch.

I think they both are for the older kids,"teens",I would never let my little girl watch them,to young!!Even though she would not get most of the jokes.I could just imagine my daughter going to school and telling her teachers.."screw you guys,I'm goin home..lol

South Park is one of the best shows ever.
I don't think it's even a question that neither show is meant for children. SP started when I was 14, so yeah, I'm pretty sure kids can get all of the jokes if they pay attention. Nowadays they do more shows about current events which even teenagers will understand if they pay attention to the world around them.

My wife is always on me about appropriate tv for our daughter. She is 5 years old, and ok, yeah, I let her watch the grudge a couple of years ago, but it didn't scare her.. SHe just kept chasing her mother around making that throaty noise..
I don't really like the simpsons so much, but i'll put it on if treehouse is the only other option. My wife likes the Simpsons, her parents, aunts and uncles all say DOH!
I guess maybe SouthPark gets a little too freaky to let my kid watch sometimes, but what the wife don't know won't hurt her!
