how fast do you type?

I tested my typing speed with typing master and found out its 35, huh will try to improve it!!! 54 is great :)

last time i checked i was between 80-90 wpm!

When I was in school, I tested at over 100 wpm on my typing tests. I came in third in the state in typing in the state business contests in my junior year. In my senior year, I came in second in the state in shorthand. Another girl from my high school came in first in shorthand. I've been working in jobs that required fast and accurate typing for over 45 years now, and my speed is still way up there. My shorthand is also quite fast as I use it constantly.

I was tested for this about eight years ago by an egency through which I hoped to find work and if I'm not mistaken, I was certified 60 words per minute.

oh it it really fantastic having a gift such as fast in the keyboard seems also that you are smart.. well in my case, i can type lets say just 30 words in a minute.. it is not in the amount or quantity that we type but it is in the accuracy of what we type.. the spelling, the correct punctuation and the way we type if we are using all of our fingers. lols

I have done a test now and got 68 words per minute with 98% accuracy.

How fast do I type? Well that depends on whether or not I am reading and typing it. I have a problem I like to look at the key while typing means less mistakes for me. But if it is like on here. then I could possibly get by doing 40-50 a minute reading and typing at the same time about 28-35 words pr minute. I used to take typing classes in school and also when I first got my computer I used a program called mavis beacons typing program. It taught me more then school ever did.

I have also taken a typing test and I only got 45 words per minute. I'm not fast! 54 is a good speed. I must say that I have never taked a typing test at school and I realise now how important it is with the internet and work. It's hard to learn now because for so many years I have been used to typing a certain way. Good luck dolce_vita78!

i havent really realized that. i have no idea on how fast i can type. is 60wpm is the average?

I don't type fast. But my wife is a faster typist than I am. She can always beat me if we have a competition. So she helps me a lot type papers for me.

Hello dolce_vita78, I took an online typing test few days ago and mine is just above average. I am not really happy with the result. I can really type fast without looking at the keyboard but when I did take the test, it came out mine was just above the average of 40WPM. I might be panic when I took the test... *smiles*

mine is betta dan yours, i can type 54 words per second...:-p

Recently, when I checked my speed, I was at 52 wpm with 94% accuracy. I think I can improve it to 80-90 wpm. I need some regular practice. I think this speed is enough for me.

not so fast 30 words per 1 min

I usually type faster and can manage about 50 words per minute and i am happy that i can type faste ras it is a big advantage for me against my rivals in the company

well i work as a receptionist and am also a freelance writer, so i prolly type about45-55 somewhere in there and yes, absolutely, you should include it in your resume.

Last time I checked it was 60 words per minute. I am not sure what other people type, but I know when I type in front of other people they always say wow you type fast, so I figure it is alright. =)

I got the same score like you have when I'm having fun with my TypingMaster Pro here while mylotting at the same time. Yeah, I think it's good enough for me, not too bad though :-)
