Frankly, it's a very difficult choice in my opinion. As I like both of them. I like to grow plants, vegetables and flowers in the garden. I also like swimming in the swimming pool. If I have only one option, then perhaps I have to select the swimming pool. Because my husband and child like it much more. They like play in the swimming pool. Besides, swimming is a very healthy sports.

Can I ask why you would have to choose between a garden and a swimming pool? We have both at our house. The pool gets used every day during the summer unless it is raining. It was a very good investment for us to make. It keeps the kids very busy during the summer.
I just started my garden this year and just yesterday picked 6 cucumbers and a pepper from my garden for dinner last night. It is worth it to grow a garden also. I wouldn't choose between them~ do both.

hello sunshine, thats great that you have both a garden and a pool in your house. In our house we only have a garden, we cant afford to have a pool.
Wow, I love cucumbers and pepper, my mother have a good recipe, slice the cucmbers in small slices or dice it, then add mayonaise, cubed cheese, pineapple chunks and a little pepper pepper to taste and wow, im sure you are going to enjoy it. Its best when you chill it.
When its summer we just go to the beach and enjoy the breeze and the food.

We have a garden at our house, its very helpful in terms of vegetables and also flowers for decorations in the house. If ever i don't want to have a swimming pool it doesnt suit our lifestyle. =D

I think I do not need to have a garden and a swimming pool at home because my workplace is a 54 hectares garden known as the Rizal Park here in Manila, Philippines. I have the honor to invite you and see for yourself the beautiful park I am proud of.

I will choose a garden, because I want to plant some flowers and vegetables in my garden and I can't swim, so a swimming pool is not useful for me.
This summer I went back to my aunts', and there is a big garden behind her house. There are lots of vegetables in it, and it tastes very good. So if I can buy a house, I must plant some vegetables in my garden.

Are you asking with your house or inside your house. I am very confused. I do have a garden outside of my house. I love it! We eat many veggies all summer long!!! We dont have a pooly yet though. We were going to get one but we just didnt have the money. Next yr we will most likley get a pool. If u are asking about inside your home...I definatley would take the pool without even questioning it!!!!!

Well, I've never been much of a person to Garden. First I'm not good at it, second I tend to kill whatever I try to keep alive, third it's not what I call entertaining, and lastly I don't eat many vegetables because they taste bad. I do like flowers but I wouldn't take the time to water them daily since it doesn't rain here often.
A swimming pool in my house, however, would be AMAZING! I love to swim. It's great exercise and one of the only exercises that doesn't hurt your joints while doing it. I would love to swim more often but I don't have a pool to go to.

Hi youless! :) Although I am not that expert when it comes to swimming, I want a swimming pool! *hehe* I go swimming with my friends when we have the time. However, having a swimming pool requires a lot of space at home. Right? [Unless of course, if you really got a big home. :)]
A garden, for me, is much better. It gives beauty to the house and if you're into gardening, it becomes a relaxation and a stress reliever, at the same time. (",)
But I guess, you have to talk things over with your hubby so that both of you will come to an agreement if which is which - whether a garden or a swimming pool. It's best to come up with a win-win situation.
Take care and God bless! (",)

I personally would love to have a garden where I could plant everything I want including flowers, fruits and herbs, things like that. I am not a big fan of swimming and therefore it is quite an easy choice for me. Also, I think it would be nice if I could plant my own things and watch them grow. However, I am not sure if I could really plant something because I don't really have a green thumb and everything planted under my hands seem to die mysteriously.

Garden and swimming pool are both my favourite.I have planed that When I will build my own house I will must have this two in my house. If I have one option then I will prefer the garden, bez I like gardening. It makes me feel batter when I see the plants are growing slowly. When it becomes younger,it also gives flowers and fruit.
I also want to tell you that I don't know swimming.I have tried many times to learn swimming, but I failed. So if I can fullfill my first choice then I will make a swimming pool and I will try one more time to learn swimming.
