My goodness I am so over this heat we've been having. Its only almost 11a.m. here and in the house its already 82. That can tell you that it just didn't cool down last night. Last we looked at 12:30a.m. the tempature was still 77 outside. I am so uncomfortable and the heat just makes me miserable and cranky.
I used to love summer. Love the warmth of it. But it seems like anymore, it just gets way to hot and doesn't cool off. I am already ready for fall tempatures. I just want to be cooled off.
How do you cool off in the heat? Do you get miserable in the heat?

I am ready for the heat to be over, too. It's been over 100 degrees for the last couple of days. I'm from Missouri, where that is pretty standard, but it's not normally like this in North Dakota! We don't have central air here like we always did back home!
Of course we've also been trying to get everything cleaned up and we are getting the very last of our stuff moved out from our house on base today. What a day to do it! My poor toddler is sitting right in front of the window unit AC and still can't stay cool enough. It's crazy. IT should not be this hot here right now. Our hottest part of the year is usually the middle to the end of August!

We usually are hot in July and August, but usually not this hot. The past couple years have been this way though. :( I don't like it thats for sure. lol Its suppose to be only 88 today, but it sure doesn't feel that way in here and the fans were just bringing in hot air, so we had to pull them out of the windows. :(
Def. not a nice day to move more stuff. :( At least you are only getting the very last things. That is the bright side of it :)

I detest excessive heat. At least when it's cold you can put more clothes on. You reach a point in the heat where you can be naked and still not feel good! LOL Well... good as in HEAT/TEMP! LOL
I'll stop there!

yup. the heat of the sun today is really different compared to it years ago. before, i can walk under the heat of the sun without feeling my skin burned. but now, i need to wear a cap or an umbrella just to atleast protect my skin from the heat of the sun. it's already damaging. researchers are right. our ozone layer is really damaged and now, we're suffering from it.
when the weather's too hot, like when i was still in the philippines, i get annoyed most of the time. but we never such temperatures like yours there. still, i like to stay indoors when it's too sunny outside.

I can't stand the heat and yes, I get very miserable. I also found that now that I am older, the heat bothers me. My perfect day would be with temps around 65.lol. We have two air conditioners and we run them a lot. The electric bill is high but thats better than me killing something.lol.

I hate the heat, I try to keep still and have plenty of water when it's so darn hot. I keep a wet wash cloth near by as well to wipe my face and neck with, that helps a lot.

Hello there was just reading your post about " Another Hot One" i don't know if anyone else said this but i decided i'd send a post and offer some help with this issue..Its been the worst/hottest summer EVER as far as i can remember, and i don't like being hot or sticky (or taking 3 or 4 baths a day LOL (i live in Winnipeg) or should i say lately scorching Winnipeg, since i don't live next door to a beach or swimming pool, and i don't care how strange everyone else thinks i am but this is how i cool down, even if you have to repeat the process i think its worth it and it has cooled me down many times.. What i do is, take any regular, or larger than you t-shirt and run it under the tap, cold preferably, and then ring it out (twist it) either losely or tightly, depending on how wet you want the shirt to be, and how long u want it to stay wet/cool... once the shirt gets dry (repeat the process) Well that's one idea.. thanks for reading

it was around 38 Celsius here last week (about 100 degrees) and i really had no idea on how to cool myself (except for numerous showers and pitch black apartment)... i drink allot eat only light cold food (salads, fish and stuff) and that is pretty much it.
