Tattoos, piercing, body art, etc.

What's your opinion of people with tattoos, piercings, belly rings, tongue rings/studs and all over body art?
Do you think less of them as opposed to people without these?
What do you think motivates people to have tattoos, piercings and body art on them? Is it to show off, or just because they like what it represents on them?

It doesn't bother me to much - but don't over due it. I have two tattoos and use to have my belly button and tongue pierced. Both of my tats are in places that I can easily cover up if I want to or I can also show them off.
Not sure what motivates one to get a tattoo or piercing.. I just did it cuz I thought I would look cool with it! lol
