After 60 years of our independence, should we redefine Gandhi for the present society?

wE need not redefine Gandhi. His values and principles are applicable even for today's context. But we had forgotten to apply for modern life. The present society can use his principles as such.

Yes, we can only redefine Gandhi as per your thoughts. Thanks for this response.

Gandhian outlook based on truth and non-violence has lost its meaning totally. There needs no redefining his noble thoughts in the present day world of ours replete with vices.

What do you mean exactly? How would you redefine Gandhi? He was who he was, and that was a pretty great man :-)

Certainly Gandhi was a great person, also internationally. But my view is the acceptence of this embodiment of non-violence and peace among the people of present society somewhat differs as it was decades back. So to accept Gandhi's thoughts in a better and effective way, I only suggested redefining in this present time of quick automation and craze for imported brand among people. Thanks.

Before redefining Gandhi, we all must understand Gandhi's thoughts and actions. A very good study on all of these will certainly help us a lot if we proceed to redefine Gandhi at present. I hope if anybody studies Gandhi's thoughts and actions, must find himself well redefined! Thanking you a lot.

Gandhi was without doubt the greatest person to have lived in the twentieth century. He was also, I believe, a great master, whose life we should all try to imitate. His ideas are still fitting for today.
