How do you account for the two creation stories in the Bible? We are told in Genesis Chapter 1 that God created everything in six days, then in chapter 2 there is another creation story. Was the first a spiritual creation and the second physical? I know that many people believe the Biblical account,so how do you explain this?

Bible is written in a few chapters years of history. So we have to study the word of God by searching other explanations esp.commentaries.We cannot come to conclusions without studying it.So avoid confusion, & God is not foolish enough to make any mistakes.

The first chapter of Genesis is the out line. The second chapter is the details for the first chapter. One needs to learn how the Hebrews thought and wrote. What seems like contradiction is not. Though out the bible you find first the out line and then you get the detail.

Genesis 1 gives the information on how the heaven and earth was created plus the animals. Genesis Two we are told of man being created and his special position. It shows that man was not an animal. It also emphasizes that man is different by recalling how the other plants and animals were created. So the first chapter concentrates on the creation of the world and its fauna and flora. The second chapter concentrates on the creation of man and woman and the resting of God on the seventh day and recalls the creation of the world and its fauna and flora.
