Have you ever seen a black Butterfly?

I have seen black butterflies and just like black cats they do not have any significance - I am not superstitious about such things.

oh,I saw some black butterflies before, but just in an exhibition.They are only biologic samples for scientific research.also, they are pretty with various grains. I believe a black one, it must bring goodluck to you.

I actually saw numerous black butterflies for the first time ever this past summer...but they had white spots on them...They were gorgeous none the less though and I've not seen them again since that day.....ANYWAY....its nothing to worry about by any means..the colour black is NOT a bad thing, in fact its a good thing...black absorbs negativity...and the butterfly represents transformation/change and the courage to go through that needed change...

i took a picture of a beautiful black butterfly just the other day. nothing superstitious about them , there are black varieties. actually there are several. i'm developing an absolute love of butterflies.

I can't remember ever seeing a black butterfly. Perhaps I have and just can't remember. When we go to Texas in November the butterflies are still around. WE go to Santa Anna Bird sanctuary along the Rio Grande River. The butterflies are around in clouds. There are deep blues, and lots of yellows and whites. every colour, but I don't remember any Black ones.

Well, I've seen one before, except it had two white spots on it, so I don't know if that counts. Anyway, I read in a magazine that black butterflies are associated with bad omen. I don't know how superstitious you are, but I wouldn't worry about it. Thinking about it would only get you paranoid. Besides, different people have different beliefs, like how some people think that black cats are bad luck, yet people in china perceive them as good luck.

I have never seen a black butterfly either. I do not think it means anything superstitiously.
