Where are the birds in cities. I think because of too much of pollution and absence of greenery and also due to radio waves (cell phone resource) the birds have migrated to safer places. When I go outstation,(my in-laws house) I do feed the birds in front of the house. It so nice to watch the birds catching the grains, when you toss it. The pigeons are very health conscious. They take 10 to 15 grans and fly away, making other pigeons to eat.

I have a bird feeder in my back yard and let my daughter refill it when it gets low. She loves to see all the different kinds of birds and know what type of seed they like. It is educational for her too, we get out a bird book and look up the birds and their habits.

That is awesome, I did the same with my children. We used to watch baby robins every year. They built a nest on our porch and we had to go out the back door. What great memories.

I have a big lawn in front.I have kept a bird bath and a feeder where we keep the grains.Lots of birds come regularly to eat the grains they drink water and they have a splash. This is a every day ritual.Actually I started this when my son was young he used to love watching the birds he kept a book and used to identify them.now I keep continuing it.

I have 2 house birds and when i change their food i dump what is left out in the back yard. I also have gourds hung up in the back yard birds love to build nest in them. I live in Florida so i have birds year around. It is so relaxing to me to sit on the porch and watch them.
