how many times have you heard it from your partner, your children or your friends?
it happens all the time.
i think that when your children said to you it's the problem of the difference between ages.
With your friends and partner it is the way we are ' cause we all are different from each other and we all have our thoughts and our opininons.

Oh yes, we all think differently and see things from different points of views. When my kids say this to me it hurts though. So I really set down with them and I start off by saying this, "Ok, help me to understand". Then I let them express their feelings, not laughing or judging them either. I let them be honest with no boundaries. It helps them feel like I am at least trying even if I never "get it".

i don't want to be in the place of one of your friends.
it's so hard to hear all the time from the others that they don't understand you.
this way you think that somethink maybe is wrng with you, joke

I don't actually recall ever hearing that from anyone because I have always tried very hard to see other peoples points of view. However, I very often feel this way, I just don't tend to mention it.

I heard it a lot of times already especially if we are discussing something. But if he speaks of it already, I listen very carefully. So I will understand him as he wants. But I make it sure that he understands me ,too.
