What will you do if you see a thief stealing others on the bus?

I heard a piece of news a few days ago.That is:A young girl was stolen by a thief on the bus in the daytime,but nobody on the bus gave her a favor.It seemed that all of them were afraid of the thief.They all pretended that they haven't seen what happened just now.In the end,the thief ran away.
I felt very disappointed about the reaction of those people from the very first.But then,I began to think what I will do when I face such situation.I'm not a very brave girl,but I think I'll at least give her a hint or......
I just wonder what you will do if you see a thief stealing others on the bus.

This kind of news had happened in my life.my credit card CD credit and money were stolen.But no one told me all the time.
I think if I will see this kind of thing in the future.I am sure I will tell and yell at

If I would ever see a thief steal from any person I would raise my voice and shout at the thief and then give him a nice bashing and if I get any support from the crowd then I might as well try to humiliate the thief by making the thief naked and handing him/her over to the cops.
