the reason why I say this is because I am tired of seeing referal links in post people have reported them and nothing is being done. People are cheating mylot and nothing is being done.. Here are some hard working people on mylot and we get paid small amounts of money for our replies and posts we make.. Is this fair? I don't think so. Am I the only one that feels this way or is there more of you that do? Sorry I just had to vent some..

I feel the same way..I don't know what it takes to get things going the right way anymore..I do my best to ignore those that don't want to play by the rules..I don't want you to go because I like replying to your posts..Somedays I do think about taking a break, but then I realize my email box will be overflowing with responses and new discussions for me to do. I do look forward to being here on Mylot..I like the conversations and different views about things..venting is a good thing.

Mine is the same way it's always over flowing my e-mail that is.. I try my hardest to do them and when I am done I go searching for more from other members there are alot of topics and things to reply too but I just seem to keep finding such things.. It is a shame though to see us hard workers and posters to do our thing and others are making money by doing other things! Maybe though I will rethink it.. Now that I finally had 2 nice responses! Thanks!!

I know it is sad to think that others can ruin it for the good ones. They will get their dues, soon enough, I just won't stoop to their level. Eventually they will give up or get caught. I share your frustration. Don't leave me..LOL

I agree soon enough they will get what is coming to them.. I won't go anywhere these people here including you have changed my mind.. To many great people to leave behind because others don't care!

Then leave. I hate these discussions. If you want to leave, leave. We're not going to throw you a pity party and beg you to stay. If you leave, then that's less people to split the money up between.

No I'm not leaving.. I am going to help mylot win this.. Cheater will be stopped and alot of us people are going to help them do it.. If you haven't taken noticed yet there are alot of people here taking advantage of this forum just to make a few cents and people like me and others are working hard to keep mylot the forum it should be.. "less work for people to split the money up between" Thats kind a funny line.. So you are saying it's ok for people to cheat mylot and they get YOUR money for doing so.. That's nice cool! I'm letting them get mine I work for mine!! thanks for your reply!

:) My two cents...
Realizing that it's against myLot policy, they shouldn't do it. At the very least they shouldn't cry about it when their account gets deleted. My understanding is you aren't supposed to promote your business through MySpace either, but people do it all the time. I think as long as they don't go around posting about it non-stop and private messaging people they don't know about it, it's not a huge deal. That being said, I can totally understand your frustration when people are obviously posting for no other reason than to give their referral link.
I don't mind the referral links if you're responding legitimately to a discussion. For example: If somebody asks where to buy such-and-such and somebody else posts their referral link to such-and-such.com, that I don't mind. But when somebody starts a discussion that is obviously for no other reason than to peddle there business, that's another story. Or posts a referral link to a discussion that it is not even related to.
I personally am an affiliate for several different sites. I appreciate it when somebody takes the time to purchase though my link. In the same respect, I like being able to purchase though somebody else's link when I can. And if somebody points me to a good deal or site, I don't mind them getting compensation for it.
Blessings,
Shannon

Thank you for your post.. There are so many post here that have been made about referral links and how people just start them to get referral .. This really is a place for people to learn about different things life, children, people that sort of stuff.. Making money yes there is a section for that.. I have seen people talk about programs and say if they want to know more please send them a message!! I find that perfectly fine.. but seeing them in posts just to get people to sign up under them just really in my oppion has gotten out of control mainly when there are 10-15 post of the same program.. Thats what I am talking about.. I know it does state in the rules as well no to copy other posts that have been made well it's happening.. One post with a referral link ok thats fine but 4 months down the road someone else does the same link for the same program that should be ok too.. But post after post of the same programs is what gets me.. Ok with that being said I thank you for your post and do understand what you are saying.

In that case, I totally understand the frustration! I actually signed up for myLot about 9 months ago. I got busy and forgot about it and just stumbled across it again tonight. So, for clarification sake, is it that myLot is not paying attention to the "Report abuse." button on the posts?

I've been a little put off lately too. I still don't understand how some topics make "top discussions" and others don't. I don't think mine ever have. Yesterday there was someone asking for money ( a violation of rules) that was on the top discussions. It got deleted finally but was on there for a long time. I thought at one time it was the discussions with most response but it isn't that. I just don't get it.

hi Lucy I am not sure how the top topics work.. I seen one person ask about what they would give their wife on their birthday he got well over 86 replies.. I was like wow nice but it never got to the top topics.. Kinda strange if you ask me.. I guess it works in a different way than what we are thinking.. humm not sure though.. But yes someone begging for me is a no no I read that in the rules.. All we have to do is keep reporting these people who violate the rules and things will soon enough get better.. Thank you so much for your reply!

Well I can say, I have had everything I ever reported deleted by mylot. I report the spam, the commercials, the flames and etc. Now it may take them a full 7 days to do it, but it gets done. I do wish it would be faster. One thing you can do is set up a network of friends that will report along with you, this does help speed up the process. I have several and we message one another over HUGE cheaters. We just came across one that was pasting the same response to tons of posts, I am talking at least 100. They were all gone by day 2.
As for the money, yes seeing a huge difference between now and a couple of months ago, bites to say the least. However I just keep focused on posting with friends. When I get down to it, Mylot doesn't have to pay us at all, so even if it's a penny, it's something. Honestly it just gives me more reason to keep reporting the cheaters. I think once a system comes that will get rid of these jerks, we will see a huge difference.

I can't agree with you more. I think alot of people don't understand what I am trying to say but alot do.. We work hard doing what we do here and that includes posting and replying at least I know I do.. I do great with no referrals but yet at the same time we need to work together to help keep this place in order.. I am very glad you took the time to report the cheaters. Once we get them out of here I bet we will see a increase on our post and replies we do here.. It's just the matter of fact of getting these people first or it will never happen! Thank you for your great reply!!

Thank you for agreeing with me.. I would love for this place to stay clean and people don't spamming every where they possibly can.. I work on mylot very hard and tend to do as good of a job as I can but sometime I just want to give up like today.. I'm glad to have friends here to say no to me and talk me into staying! Thank you so much!

I see your frustrations and i raise you mine! LOL! Sorry just being silly. I agree with you, i'm losing interest and getting frustrated by the lack of control mylot is missing! I'm not here for the money, i need advice, i can give advice, i can make people, i enjoy the humor of others, i enjoy learning about other countries etc. As long as there are members like you that feel like me, i will keep coming back. I enjoy Mylot and i hope it gets cleaned up, many good members are gone now and these abusers could be one reason! Take care Wisconsin.

Hello, Wisconsin.
Hey, don't feel bad because of that. Don't think about taking a break, neither. Be happy with that! Do you know why? When everyone has over 10.000 posts, you'll be able to say that YOU got your posts fairly! You earned your money with your own hard work! And you'll see all those people getting their accounts deleted because they broke the rules. And you might even want to report them in their other websites, for posting referral links. This way, you'd end up with this all.
Don't worry, you're not losing anything. Just keep posting happily, there is no reason to stop. Let's be happy and let's earn!
