and now he's home all day. I love this guy to pieces, and the lay-off will probably only be for a month or so, but I'm not sure how to keep my usual schedule going with him here every minute. I don't mind re-arranging many of my activities, but he really doesn't like the amount of time I spend on MyLot at all. Any suggestions on how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

set him up so he's doing something on line too - or if you only have 1 computer - send him out to look for work

Boy do I feel sorry for you. I know that when my husband has his day off, he totally disrupts my schedule. I can't imagine how I would handle it if he were laid off. I would suggest that you write down your schedule for him and tell him...this is what I do during the day to keep the house in order and to make some income on line. Tell him that your computer tims is important to you and also you are making income which you may need now that he is layed off. Good luck.

Tell him this is what you do, and if he doesn't like it, tell him to find something--an interest of his own--to keep him busy while you keep your schedule. Also, ask him when he wants to spend time with you, and work out a certain time that will be for the two of you, or for family--if you have children. You each need your own interests. Explain to him that, while you love him, you need time to do things by yourself. Tell him you want him to find things that make him happy too, besides being home with you. It's really best if he has something, because he could get depressed being laid off. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! He's still getting used to the idea of being at home. There are lots of things for him to do here, he just isn't focused yet. Soon he will be, I hope!!! ;-)
