The use of glasses have resulted in black spectacle patches on the two sides of my nose. I use a very light framed glass but still i couldn't resist these blackish islands.I just bladly want to clear them off.Have you been a victim of this too?? Do you know any way i can get rid of them?? Or are they permanent??

I had them when I wore glasses but now that I have been wearing contact lenses for the past 25 years they have gone, have you considered switching to contact lenses, they are very convenient and quite economical now. There is no way of getting rid of the patches unless you stop wearing glasses.

i was thinking of switching to contact lenses but i am really scared that putting some object into my eyes can harm it.

When I first started using contact lenses they were the hard variety that felt like pebbles in my eyes but the latest soft lenses are comfortable from the first day on and if you take care there is no harm to the eyes. Secondly you could go for LASIK to correct your vision.

usually they form when people start to wear specs all the time even when they don't really need to wear them. just start to avoid wearing them for hours and take them off anytime you can. this way the patches would start to fed off. i won't say that forever but they wouldn't be much noticeable then.
