Soldiers Suffering Battle Fatigue

Last week ABC Evening News reported on soldiers in Iraq who were vocal about the conditions over there and how they are on duty for more time than they should be. Some are taking the stance that this is just a few disgruntled soldiers wanting to vent, but the evidence does not bear this out. There have been other news sources who have heard these same things. Soldiers who signed on for 12 month tours having their tours extended to 15 months, etc. One mother said that her son has complained that he will do a shift and be called right back on duty before he has a chance to get any proper rest. What are your thoughts on this?

I have heard this about the British Troops before and I think it is shameful! They are doing a hard enough job without being put in any more danger because they are suffering from exhaustion! I pray for all our armed forces every night and that the war will be over sooner rather than later! xxxx

This is horrible although we do need soldiers, it is wrong where soldiers signed up for x amount of time and have more time than they want to be over there. The more time they are there the more likely they will be killed. Some soldiers are so war shocked that it is hell for them over there. I think they should be sent home when their time has come.
