Hi,
Did anyone here become optimist from pessimist? I wanted to know how did you change your thinking? I m pessimist and currently going through a therapy. I also found out a site which helps in changing the thinking. You have write them your problem and they will find out something thats positive in it. 'Optimist founds a opportunity in every difficulty'. The site is: http://thepositivethinking.googlepages.com. I m going to try it today. Let me know your experiences

Hi. I'm a pessimist person and a negative thinker. I always believe (or used to believe) that something will go wrong, that I will not get it. Well, then, I started to realize that, the way I think, has a real influence on my behavior and on the way how people see me.
If I think that something will go wrong...oh boy, you may be sure that something will really, really goes wrong.
If others understand that I'm not comfortable, that I don't believe myself...so, who do I want to cheat? If I don't trust myself, how can others trust me?
So, I'm now my own therapist, I'm changing my behavior.
Ok, ok...I won't lie. I'm still a pessimist. I'm still waiting for bad things, not for wonderful things.
But I don't show that so much how I use too. And it works. If you show that you trust yourself and on life, the way how people look at you will change a lot.
And, if you laugh more, maybe world starts to be a better place and life does not seem so cruel At least, you won't cry so much.

Hi cool!
Negative thinking can become an ingrained pattern. It's a lot like breaking a habit. In order to destroy negative thinking, one has to first become consciously aware of it. Every time a negative thought seeps into your thoughts, immediately smack it down by replacing it with a positive thought.
