strict parents

Most parents are strict as a way of not only providing structure in your life but also as a way of protecting you. You should take a moment and think about it and be thankful that you have parents that love you and want to protect you. Many children are physically, emotionally abused, if they even have parents at all. One of my stepson's has a girlfriend that kicked him out and rarely allows us to see or speak to their sons (8 and 6 years old). This girl has a new boyfriend who hits the kids and has left bruises on them (on a rare visit we were able to see the bruises) but she doesn't say anything to him because she doesn't want him to leave! Her own mother has threaten to call the police and child protection services if this man ever touched the children again.

I am 16 and my MOTHER is th worst! And the worst part is that I'm a good kid ! I listen to her, and respect her. I don't understand! She doesn't let me do anything at all =[ I think its WRONG to treat me like that, honestly I think us teenagers need some SPACE! Because my mom has had me to the point where I wanna run far away! But knowing her, she'll get me, and kill me! I just don't know how to tell her that I'm old enough to think on my OWN! When I get a wiff of the real world, I think I'm going to go insane, and I'm scared =[. SiNCERELY, LOSt & CONfUSEd
