I don't mind getting forwarded emails from my friends- but they have the habit of not cleaning them up before sending them- which causes me to have to scroll to high heaven just to see what they are sending. I guess I'm different- everytime I forward an email- I am sure to clean up the past of it before sending it out- so the recipient could enjoy the email being sent- not work to get at it in the first place :) Does this bother anyone but me????

I am so guilty of that and I am sorry. Honestly, I never really thought to do that, but I will now. Although, sometimes when its one of those strange emails that you go to forward and the message isn't there but you know its getting sent. I have that happen a lot and wouldn't be able to clean it even if I had thought of it. Thanks for the tip.

awwwww, well by all means I meant no offense- but I'm glad I could enlighten you a bit :) Don't get me wrong- I really enjoy most of the forwards- because my friends and family tend to forward some really nice emails at times- but geeezzzz...it takes me 3 minutes just to read it after I opened when they don't clean them up first.

LOL. I didn't take offense. You know, I don't like having to scroll down a few yards either. I am always up for learning something new. Thanks.

This one bothers me too--though i can tolerate it. Sometimes its just interesting coz you get to see your friend's other friends. I do however, have the habit of deleting unwanted details before re-forwarding an email. This is actually necessary esp. at work as these forwarded emails can actually slow down the system too--accdg. to our company's IT team.

You bring up a valid point about being able to see your friends friends and who they have sent the email too as well. I do enjoy seeing that at times. And yes- our IT guy at work says the same- we are actually not allowed to forward emails at work that aren't about work- its done anyway- but the reason is the same for not to do it- he says it slows down the system ;)

Hello, Triple W!
I just don't know what is going on with my friends, as well. They forward me so many e-mails, and they do not clean it up! From the 1 hour you spend reading your e-mails, 30 minutes is just to scroll down the page, lol. It completely sucks.
However, I won't tell them not to send me anything else. After all, they are not sending exclusively for me. They are sending for all their Orkut friends. And I'm on that list, so I just end up receiving it. But it's boring, isn't it?
Maybe one day they'll start to think that they should clean up the messages before sending.

I won't tell them not to send them either- so I guess we are just going to have to deal with it :) Or maybe I should make a mass mailing on email ettiquette....LOL- either way - it still wouldn't stop my mother from sending them- she is the biggest culprit in my life ;)
