It tells about the history of a murderer, says the cover of the film. As watching the movie I told my friend that the movie is philosophic or even metaphoric. Apart from the real history behind the movie, I think our history has been disigned by the cosmetics. Perfume is a cosmetic. In the movie, the power of scents has led humankind to an out-of-control situation. And it applies to everyone including to the maker.
What is a paradox is that the maker cannot smell his own! The agent doesn't recognize his own-self: he doesn't know love - the core of humanity! Having 13women killed seems like a trivial: all is just for an ingredient!
The next paradox is that all of the murdered are female. Female is the most representative user of perfume!
However, really I can't stop thinking about the moral values of the movie.
Personally I say that the movie is great!
Do you agree with me?
What's your idea?

I think so... too slow. To me the ending so raises multiple interpretaions. Based on it then I thought that the movie is just a metaphor or something like that. Watching it is like reading a poetry!
Thanks Malijka!
