I am really picky when it comes to naming my kitties. I don't like people names, nor do I go for names like blacky, snowball, fluffy... etc. I admit, I have settled for a name I wasn't happy with due to lack of creativity, but I try to choose good names. I started a theme with my names, see if you can figure it out. I started with Chakotay, then I had Neelix. After that came Judzia. Then my theme ended. My husband named one of our kitties Leo, so I let that one stick. So tell me some crative names you have used.

Mostly i name my pets from their characters. For example one of them name is hyper. Because he never likes to sit and always plays. He is now 7 years old buy still hyper (hiper in Turkish) . And one of them were peeing so much so i name it fountain ( fiskiye in Turkish ) And one them had some eye problems so i name her eye gum ( capak in Turkish) And one of them likes to sleep in front of door so i name it doormat ( paspas in Turkish)

Haa haa... Good way to name them for their personality. I called a kitten I had once "Fountain". I was potty training her and caught her going in the kitchen. I picked her up quickly and ran to the kitty box. She was like a mini fountain with a thin stream of pee squirting me the whole way. I couldn't help but be amused as I cleaned up the mess.

I always name my pets after famous people.
My 2 gerbils are Ziggy (after Ziggy Stardust) and Ollie (after Oliver Hardy) my budgie is called Ozzy (after Ozzy Osbourne).
In the past my pets names have been Ant and Dec, Casper and Sunny, Eric and Ernie.

Yeah, those are cute names. Not too much like people names, but cute enough to be pet names.
