According to our old folks "karma" is a word coined to the cosequential events that will happen to you based from the bad things you've done.. Many of us believe that we are responsible for our own actions, but is it always the case?? Isn't it that sometimes bad people gets to do their criminal acts and get away with it.. On the other hand there are instances where bad things happen to good people........ Why is this so???? Where's "Karma" now???

yes i do believe in karma.. i believe that everything you do will come back to you.. it is definitely true.. and about the bad people you are talking about, well, karma has it's own way to them... and as for the good people you are telling us, maybe its just God's trial on them...

no i dont believe in karma. i am a muslim and i believe that if u do something bad ull reap its consequences. if not in this world then most surely in the hereafter which is to say on the day of judement all accounts will be settled. and if u do somethign good and if you are not rewarded here then no matter, youll surely get yr reward on the day of judgement. this is the basic belief of islam. but there are clauses to it. to begin with, you should be a muslim, believe in only one God Allah, believe in the last prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.S) , believe on the day of judgement, on destiny and on angels . if you believe all this and if you trust Allah, then you dont need karma or any such man made belief.
some of the people here may react very negatively to my belief, you might be one of them too . but, this is a free forum and i do wish to add this line that i am using my freedom of speech here and not abusing anyone's belief.
thanks anyway for asking and not adding a special line that only non muslims should answer. people tend to do that over here and i believe it to be a height of rudeness. :)

Hello JBrulez,Thanks for your post.Yes we get the word "Karma" in our folks, epics and spiritual books that good karma determines good destiny and badkarma determines bad destiny. Now if you read the epics throughly(not just one story) you will see that the epics have covered not a single story with limited characters and you will get the same characters taking rebirth as another new character and living a life either of blessings or of curse in their new birth based on their previous birth karma. Newborns children, good humanbeins are innocent in this life but suffering from what they dont deserve, but please dont forget they are living their newlife based on their previous birth karma. Therefore the smart criminals
you are talking about will have to suffer for their bad karma either in this life time or in their next rebirth, its nature's rule.

I'm totally agree with you my friend. Well for my own case, KARMA means a badluck if you did such bad things to others. They say what goes around always comes all the way back around. Yeah that's according to one of the singers. Anyways, I think the reason why bad things happen to good people is that good people are distracted by whoelse but the evil alone. But I don't believe at all because there are also the darkest sides of the goodness of others. For example, you are helping the poors through giving them a supply of food, clothes, others or even money but the way you help is from a manner of corrupting. Well that's for my opinion. What do you think?
