Everyone that knows me real well, knows that I have been trying to make a transition from being the biggest night owl on the planet to being a day walker. It has been going fairly well for me, and it's not zapping the life out of me like I had originally thought it would, but I had the strangest thing happen to me today that has left me a bit confused.
I remember waking up when my alarm went off at 4am, turning off my fan, and getting dressed, and getting one shoe on, but in the process of putting on the second and getting the urge to use the restroom I blacked out it seems. I reawakened at 5:30am and don't have the slightest recollection of crawling back into bed and going back to sleep. My clothes, and shoes that I remembered putting on, were still on, so I know it wasn't a dream I was having. I keep trying to remember at what time I decided to crawl back into bed and go back to sleep, but my mind just isn't recollecting it.
Has this happened to anyone before? If so, did you find out what caused it to happen? I don't think it's anything medically wrong with me, just would really like to find out what it could have possibly been or was that caused me to lose an hour and a half time frame.

This hasn't happened to me before, but seeing the schedule you have and seeing first hand some of the stresses you have put yourself through, your body may have been unconciously telling you that you needed more sleep. Without thinking about it, you crawled back into your comfy bed and slept until your body was ready for the day. It's just a thought though. I hope you get it figured out, but don't beat yourself up over it.

Thanks for your reply. It very well could be that I just needed more sleep, and just fell asleep without realizing it. Just didn't like having what seemed a memory laps. It scared me a little. But it's a new day and I haven't really thought about it much since getting up this morning.

I can't say that I have had moments like that before..But I think that it is possible...I know that lately my sleep patterns have been all mixed up that I usually am the first to hear my husbands alarm in the morning to wake him up..There was one morning I was so tired I woke him up as usual but usually i wait til he gets dressed to go get ready for work before falling back asleep or I use the washroom it was so surreal what happened..I remember asking him when he gets home why didn't You say bye to me this morning on your way to work and give me a kiss like you always do?? He says hun I did and you answered see you later? I was like huh? You mean to tell me I'm talking in my sleep?

It is strange what we accomplish when we are overly tired. Though I think it would have freaked me out a bit more if I had talked to my husband while this "black out" occurred. It just made it weird cause when I got up I felt fine and awake. So it really threw me off guard to go through something like that.

Well that's lovely I'm sleep walking now..haha! Oh well at least as you say I am alright and nothing is wrong with me. I have sleep walked before, it was rather funny I had sleep walked into the living room, when I woke up I thought I was in a different house, until I fully woke up.

I can completly understand how freaky something like that could be...The main thing is you are ok...It is possible that you thought you were dreaming and subconsiosly did what you normally would do in your sleep kind of like sleep walking I guess
