When me and brother were still kids we loved to play outside and in order for my mother to make us stop, get inside the house is scare us with different tales/stories...
- Hide and seek, kids like that game.. my mother would tell us, when it's 6pm we should stop playing hide and seek, because when it's 6pm the "not like us creature comes out" and they will take us and hide us forever....of course we stopped! who would want to be taken by monsters? not us... hehehe
Some old wives tales that i know:
- staying out in the cold without a coat caused pneumonia
- chewing gum, fruit seeds if swallowed remains in your body
- if the palm of your hands are itchy, you'll receive money
- if you dance after eating you'll get appendicitis
Parents would tell their kids any tales for whatever reason. Stupid, nonesense as it may sound, I really don't know why we fall for it! LOL. Well i guess when you're a kid you believe whatever your parents tells you.. hehehehe
Do you know any urband legend or old wives tales? do you believe them?
Any old wives tales that you think is true? or all are false?

I guess we were all told these legends by our parents. They had more effect than simple "don't".
here are some:
-making faces will forever deform your face
-if you will not be in the bed by xy o'clock a bad witch will come and take you away
-if you do not brush your teeth the tooth fairy would not pay for them
-if your nose itches you will be angry soon
