I tend to try to stay away from them because they can become pretty controversial. People get angry when others don't share their beliefs, but then you shouldn't post it on a site with so many people and expect everyone to believe the way you do. People get angry and it's so unnecessary. It's okay to have a different belief, but it's not okay to put anyone down because their belief is different. I think that's why I stay away from those. People get on the defensive and fights start. I'm just here for a good time.:)

I agree. I responded to some discussion yesterday which asked for opinions on Religion I expressed my opinions and received a nasty response so i think I will just side step the religion ones in future. If someone posts a discussion asking for your opinion then they should not get anoyed if my opinion doesnt match thiers. I wouldnt mind but i didnt say anything controversial or nasty. All I said was I dont beleive in organised religions. to which she took offence

Exactly! You didn't tell anyone they couldn't believe in organized religion. People can be overly sensitive and close-minded sometimes.

to be honest it attacts so many due to the fact that there are so many differnt kinds out there. i mean you may be a baptist but there are many differnt forms of them etc. not to mention there is catholic, morman, jewish, wicca, nuddiest, so many more. everyone wants theres to be seen in the light as well. everyone wants to see why theres is the best. i personally have no one faith. i have my own. i beilieve that we are all equals, we are all good in some way and should be treated as such, we should love each other no matter what. we should try and help someone out no matter in there faith, color, or thoughts. i dont see why we cant just all get along. i mean live and let live. no one is perfect and no one is a 100% correct. i mean most all forms of faith say dont judge others can anyone one person say they have never done that.

totally agree with you. I have no faith well to put it another way I do not subscribe to any of the organised religions. I personally beleive were all equal and as such we should treat people how we would want to be treated. I know that sound religious but its not. I dont need some book or priest, vicar, preacher and so on to tell me not to steel or not to hurt someone. Most of the wars and battles are caused originally by religion and religious beliefs.

I think it's just because religion is something most people have strong opinions about. Either because they are religious, or because they feel that religion is harmful or stupid. =p I know I respond to a lot of religious discussions because I like to learn about the religions of others, as well as correct misinformation I see about my own religion. It's not a matter of liking to argue for me as much as loving to learn. =)

I think this happens in a lot of forums. The survey says that 85% of the US people believe in some theory on the existance of God..I never checked it out but it sounds right..if that is true..is it ever wonder that the 15 % who don't believe have such a opjections to religious theme questions? I mean if I truly did not have any beliefs in something I would just skip this question and move on to another topic...as it would not interest me..why the interest in something that is supposed to be all myth and fairy tales? I go to church but I am not a fanatic..and certainly not a saint but it is my decesion..as for a long time i did not go at all..as that was my choice..my wife goes to another faith..Catholic but she does not go to mass or read the bible or contribute as she helps her family in the Philippines with $$$..stuf in boxes...telephone calls.etc..so what is the big discusssion for? you will never converty anyone pro or con...and especcially not on a forum like this...lol..this is just so much chewing gum for the mind..but I have seen people get really mad..arguing religion, politics, and wars..so sad..its a nice day..outside..enjoy the good times. live, laugh love often
