I have just been reading (BBC Website) a fabulous story about a U.S cat that can predict when patients are going to die, apparently "Oscar" has an habit of curling up to patients 2 hours before they pass away!Staff now alert families of residents when he sits down next to there ailing loved one`s."He doesnt make mistakes. He seems to understand when patients are going to die,"David Dosa,a proffesor at Brown Univercity who carried out the research,to the Associated Press yesterday.
"Oscar was adopted as kitten at Steere House nursing home,
he often does his rounds just like the doctors, but he is generally not friendly with nurses or patients,on 25 occasions he has been correct in knowing who is going to die out of 25!I have always thought cat seem to know things we can only guess at,what do you think?

I read about this this morning on MSN news. I have always thought that animals can feel more than we give them credit for. When I was first diagnosed with cancer, my dog and my cat both wouldn't leave my side. My cat is NOT a 'lap cat' yet she was during that period of time pre-diagnosis. They both stayed directly by my side when I'd lay down and rest, even after the surgery, during chemo and radiation. Once I started getting back to being well again, the cat reverted to her own keep away attitude, and has never slept on the bed next to me since...same with the dog! I do believe that animals sense things that we humans cannot imagine, just the same way with our health as the known facts that they can predict earthquakes, etc. Animals are amazing, aren't they?!
