Well if you love the person your with then I suggest being honest with them because in the long run if they find out on their own then you turn out looking guilty for hiding it. If you have a strong relationship then tell them and let the chips fall where they may. Sure he'll probably stop talking or beat the friend but really does'nt the person deserve it for hitting on their friends lover? So for short just come clean with the person before you get caught up in something worst then this. Good luck.

if this happened only once, i would not tell my boyfriend. i mean it would be a shame to put their friendship to the test over something that could only be a week moment or a seed of my imagination. but if this was going on constantly i sure would tell him, because i would not fell comfortable with it.
