You can donate blood if you are diabetic taking insulin and in good health.

thanks for the offer but I wasn't asking for myself, just wondering. I'm amazed at how many people answered that they are sick or on meds so they can't. That's my situation as well.

I'm a blood donor though i'm anemic. My doctor tells iron re-creates while donating.

It is a fantastic thing, I'm not sure if I'm allowed as I had jawndess(sp?) as a child which according to my Mother meant I couldn't give blood. It's something I'd consider, though, I remember having blood taken from me as a child being painful so I'd be very anxious!

I've tried to give blood but because I am anemic (I have low iron) I can't give blood.

I personally am not able to give Blood as I am Anemic, and Diabetic on Insulin, and other reasons. Sometimes I wish I could though, and applaud anyone who can and does.

I have donated once. Everything seemed fine at first but, when I was nearing the end of my donation I began feeling faint and nearly passed out. They disconnected me and gave me juice and snacks. It took me an entire day to fully recover. I've been a bit afraid to donate since then.

I have in the past but not in a long time. I was told I couldn't because I was stationed in europe at a certian time (I think it has something to do with mad cow or something like that.) There's going to be a blood drive on base on monday so I'll check the rules then. Hopefully I can.
