Why is everyone still confused about how much My Lot pays?

For awhile I was absolutely positive that I had My Lot earnings system figured out. That is, until just before payday. That's when I noticed a big dip in my daily income. Now, I realize that is just a part of their payment process, so it doesn't bother me anymore. Earnings always go down just before payday. But, I'm always seeing people who have been here awhile asking questions about My Lot earnings or how much My Lot pays. From what I can tell My Lot pays about one to two cents per quality response that you make. It's not much money, but it's way better than the non-paying forums. Here's my best advice for anyone still confused about how much My Lot pays. Experiment to see what pays and what doesn't. Try posting long responses on some days and short responses on others. Compare your income for those two days. From what I can tell, earnings cut off at midnight every night, so make sure you get your answers in before then or they count for the next day. One more helpful tip, that I learned the hard way! If you find out the secret of making money on My Lot, keep it to yourself. Cause if you tell anyone, they'll spread it around My Lot. And, then My Lot will change what they pay for. And, that's no fun! Trust me on this one.

Thanks for the information and the hints. I have been trying to find out myLot's formula with little success if any. First I think it is the star system and then someone tells me different. Next I think it is how many people responded and someone tells me no. I think it is how many sentences, then I find it does not work. I came to the conclusion that the myLot payment committee have a giant hat in which they decide the formula to pay, and they put a whole different selections in the hat and chose one and that is the one they go by for that day.

That is the best theory I have heard so far!

I think the problem is that a lot of people want to know the exact equation that mylot uses, and mylot has declared they aren't going to tell us. So instead of just accepting that, they whine and moan and wait for someone else to figure it out and share it with them. =P Personally I haven't done any real experimentation to try to figure it out, but I have glanced through and then thought about what I did on certain days that might have affected my earnings. *shrugs* I agree with you that it's better than posting on forums that don't pay you anything, and that it's better not to worry too much about it since there's nothing we can do anyway.

It's so true! The first month or two I was positive that I knew how they did things here. But, by the time payday rolled around on My Lot, my daily earnings took a swift dip. I think lots of my really early discussions (from my newbie days) were getting deleted as My Lot staff/moderators caught up with me. And, along with the deletions went the money I had earned for them. I'm a power poster (or at least I was) and so it's possible some of that stuff just got buried on page 276 of my personal discussions. No wonder it took them so long to get around to deleting my ill gotten gains! Well, if I didn't earn it, then I don't want it. That is my philosophy. I'm willing to stick around through the tough times till the going is good again.

Noted your important tips. As per my experience they don't have any specific logic for payment. Anyway I think its based on quality, quantity, overall performance. Still Mylot is just good than other sites.

Earnings do not always go down before payout. I have seen quite the opposite. But what is happeneing is that they are doing a system clean out. getting rid of discussions that have violated TOS. Therefore if you posted to one of those your earnings will be adjusted. I have actually had one (yes, only one) where my money went up. But I'll tell you this. I've given up trying to figure out about mylot and their payment. And i just post. I figured at this point any money is better then no money.

Like I said, I just give up trying to figure it out and just post. I've had posts deleted before and I'm sure it will happen again. So I just post. And then I post some more. And then, just maybe, post one more time!

That's so funny you said that! I should have read your post first. For the last thirty minutes I have been posting the same thing on the other replies. And, then I read yours. So funny! Looks like we have the same opinion on the subject of earnings taking a dip. That is actually what I was insinuating when I wrote that my earnings went down. It took me awhile to figure out, but it totally makes sense. Since I post upwards of 50 discussions daily my earnings are not likely to go down as fast as someone who only posts 5 discussions or 5 responses daily. As you say, it took them awhile to catch up with me. But, I am making a solid effort not to participate in forbidden or SPAM style discussions anymore. Those get deleted very quickly. I used to do that kind of stuff all the time. It catches up with you, doesn't it?

Thanks for the tips. All I know is, it sure takes alot longer to reach payout. I've been a member for a fe months now and I have only reached payout twice. It certainly takes longer than a month now where it didn't use to. It also helps to have very active referrals.

It is getting harder and harder to reach payout. I did reach payout in two month. this month I will not make it. It is fun here at mylot and I am taking it a little easier now. I will be paid next month then again and this is ok for me, too. Happy mylotting.

i think a great way to get some extra cash would be to request me as a friend, send me a message, comment any or all of my discussions, rate me well, and or do the same for my friends... haha obviously a little joke but please do so if you fell like it!
