Ok I'll make no bones about it I am scared of flying but I thought rather than make an issue out of it, I thought I would spread some light hearted humour with me, because I'm in a feisty mood tonight!
Ok, here goes I get on the plane and I suddenly get a premonition like in Final Destination that the plane is going to crash! Then I realize the flight is 180 and I start screaming to let me off! And we've just landed, I've had too many to drink!
I'm sitting on the plane and suddenly the stewardess comes out screaming Can Anyone Fly the Plane?
I turn up to the flight late and the only room left on the plane is in the baggage compartment!
The flight movie is Final Destination
I do a Joan Collins in that ad with Leonard Rossiter when the seat goes back and I spill my drink over myself!
I go to the toilet and get locked in for the duration of the flight (four hours)
Someone with bad BO comes and sits next to me
The plane hits heavy turbulence and I'm suddenly standing on my head
Instead of opening the toilet door I open the exit instead
And finally
Is that one parachute to take away sir?
I know I'll be fine but anything can happen with Wolfie around xxxx
Sweet dreams x

lol - you are quite mad little bro you do realise that don't you! I haven't seen Final Destination but I have seen the second one , they put it on when I was stuck flat on my back on holiday and couldn't move and I spent most of my time with my eyse closed and groaning that it was awful whilst everyone else laughed! lol I can see you trying to keep busy and ending up dihing out the drinks and peanuts just to keep your mind off things - then finding a new career for yourself! lol xxx

Too funny, my friend. So let me tell you of a flight nightmare that really happened!
One time I was flying from Las Vegas to Philadelphia (my home at that time), I felt quizzy at take off and right after we took off I went to the bathroom to see if I could pull myself together. Once there I fainted, and with the bathrooms so small, my face hit everything on the way down, not the way to fall down in a airplane bathroom. Once I woke up from this fainting spell, my lip was swollen and bleeding and I was in extreme pain. I went back to my seat and my b/f crying, he called the stewardess but they were too busy selling dinners that they never responded, it took them 5 tries and 3 people (sitting around me) to get them to respond, once they did I was only given a leaky ice pack that leaked water all over my silk suit and I could not get another stewardess to help me for the entire flight. It was a long flight, the longest I have ever experienced, it was 4 hours long. And when we landed at 11:30 pm I went home with an ice pack on my face and to bed. The next day I went to the doctor, it was horrible, the membranes of my lips were exposed and I could not eat for a week. What a way to loose weight. After I called the airlines to tell them what happened on their flight and that I could not get anybody to help me, the most they were willing to do for me was give me some airline miles ... gee that made me feel better, NOT!!!
Good luck on your trip, I am sure it will be better than mine was.

Have you ever seen that Twilight Zone episode where the man looks out, and sees a gremlin on the wing? That's the weirdest scenario I think of when flying. I'm flying next month too, and it gives me some anxiety too, but, like you I approach it with humour, and things go much better. I also found something funny last year, I was on a cruise, and belive or not they were show Poseidon as one of the movies, I couldn't believe it.

Yes I saw that episode LOL!. Mind you if it came to a choice between a plane and a boat. I would go for a plane anyday. I can't believe they'd show Poseidon! I bet you went outside watching for the big wave! No worries about Final Destination being shown because that's a very very old film. Final Destination 3 the current-ish one features a rollercoaster so I'm safe with that one LOL!

Sweet dreams...more like nightmares!!LOL
I used to love flying until I had my kids and now I fear it too. I always imagine it will end up like the film Airplane and I will either be poisoned, have to hang myself because the person next to me is so boring or even have to blow the automatic pilot!!
Knowing my luck Father Jack will be on the flight and nick the only two parachutes for himself and the booze.

I had to laugh and it's funny the way you said it! Goodness Wolfie aren't you being funny ? LOL I surely hope that you don't sit next to the one with a bad BO or opening the wrong door. I know that you will be fine and thanks for sharing the funny side of fear as I haven't thought about all this and I have also never been on a plane but I know I'll be thinking the same way as you are and yet again it will be fine. Sweet dreams to you too.

Oh Wolfie- of all the things that can go wrong- I hope it is the BO one- You’d still be safe- Chin up- You’ll be fine! And you will make it there safely and soundly- Be sure to kiss the ground when you land! : ) You have a couple months to keep thinking about it- Don’t cike yourself out- Remember you’re having drinks prior!

You are a real card, wolfie. I just about LMAO! I don't know how anyone could have a dull moment with you around. Everything's going to be fine on your flight(said she who would be quaking in her boots). Seriously, a little drink or two should soothe all the mean old jitters away.
