Relaxing music

I have always like listening to music although I am not like the others who remembers the singer or title of the song.
What type of music relaxes you?

i am the same type with.like to listen, but don't remember the singer or the title. i like slow music with moving lyrics. i like to cry with songs. i can get enjoyment and rest from it.

Yeah,I thought I was the only who is like that. Right now my absolute favorite is "Inside your Heaven" by Carrie Underwood. I don't know why but I am drawn to that music.

in my opinion the most relaxing music can be soft love song and sentimental numbers.

I like instrumental music, but when I'm listening to a singer, I like the music of Chris Rice. I also like my brother's music. He is a singer, composer, musician and I've always liked his music. I'm very proud of him, as I'm sure you can tell. I also like my daughter's music. She is also a singer, musician, and has composed a handful of songs. I love hearing her sing, and I really love singing harmony with her and my youngest daughter. Somehow when you're from the same family and you've sung together all your life, your voices blend well and the result is pleasing to the ear. So, I guess the type of music that relaxes me is music that inspires me, makes me want to sing along, or if I'm trying to concentrate on something else, background music that doesn't distract.
What about you? What's your favorite type of music or your favorite singer(s)?

Hi, I am happy to meet someone whose family likes to sing together. May I ask the name of your brother and daughter's name, you got me curious there.
My favorites vary sometimes it depends on the beat or rhythm of the song. Right now, my absolute favorite is inside your heaven by Carrie Underwood. I am not much into hip hop songs no offense for those who likes that genre its just not for me.

I like listening to artists like Hayley Westenra, Tori Amos, Eisley, and Regina Spektor...
I also like relaxing to music without words, or accapella songs, those are my favorites!
I enjoy old jazz and blues songs too =]
