Who's your favorite hockey player?

What 1 player will you play close attention to their career no matter where they play?
For me it's Karlis Skrastins. I absolutely love him. I was a fan before he came to Colorado, and was SO thrilled when he came here a couple of years ago. Defensemen are my favorite players on the ice in general, and I prefer a solid "at home" defenseman to a d-man who scores a lot of goals. He's solid and blocks a lot of shots. Last season my ex and I joked that if he was in the locker room having a broken leg set, and the goaltender was out of position, he would somehow show up between the puck and the net.
Actually, his shot-blocking is what made me notice him when he was with Nashville. I remember the Avs kept taking shots and he kept blocking them. First I was ticked off at him, then I was fascinated by him.

Well being from Detroit I have to go with Yzerman. He was just getting started in he NHL when I started watching hockey in high school. And I'll be honest and say I started watching because he was so hot but then I got hooked on the game and have been hooked ever since. I'm also a big fan of Brett Hull. Back when they both were playing for the Wings I got a collector cup with both he and Stevie on it and it drives my DH nuts because it's the only cup I want to use.

For me it would be a draw between Mike Modano and Guy Carbonneau. Joe Nieuwendyk would be right up there.
I've been a Stars fan since Modano's rookie season back in the Minnesota days. He's the reason I fell in love with hockey in the first place.
Guy Carbonneau is just the epitome of what a hockey player should be. Total class act who played his heart out every shift of every game. Same goes for Nieuwendyk.
Non-Stars for me would be Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman and Brendan Shanahan.

My favorite hockey player would be Simon Gagne of the Philadelphia Flyers. He is a great player and is so fast going up and down the ice. He is a very good goal scorer with a quick shot. He is just amazing and even does well on lines that he is the only star player. He can make things happen on his own.

My favorite hockey player is Brendan Shanahan.I first got to know him when he was a Red Wing.And being a Ranger fan, I still get to root for him now that he is a Ranger.I like that he wiil give 110% each shift to win the game. He isn't the biggest guy on the ice, but he plays that way. He isn't afraid to dance with anyone. And did I mention he can score?He just stays in front of the net and waits for the perfect pass, that comes most of the time, and shoots and scores.And besides he is a beautiful man. and true team player. He was a player rep during the hiatus when the higher ups had their meeting about the rules change. Beauty and brains , what a great combination. ps.In the first years I saw Brendan he wasn't smiling. He had his game face on so it took me a long while for me to see him smile. And every time I did, it seemed strange.

sdner crosby from pinguins! i realy like him but i like francois beauchemin because he bring the stanley cup at my city..hehe
