Castleberry's Foods recalled almost 2 years worth of canned meat products contaminated with botulism THAT ARE STILL BEING SOLD! Please, go to their site at castleberry.com and check out the list of products that are suspected of being contaminated. States as far apart as Florida and Indiana are still selling these products. Brand names like Kroger, Goldstar, Piggly Wiggly, Steak 'n' Shake and Meijer are affected. The products include chili (with and without beans) corned beef hash and beef stew. There are even dog food products involved - Natural Balance is the brand name. Botulism is a toxin caused by bacteria. It causes difficulty breathing, violent stomach cramps and nausea, convulsions, paralysis and even can cause death. Castleberry is offering refunds on any of their products that are on the recall list. Please, mylotters, my friends, be aware and be careful.
