Sometimes I do. Especially when I like the person or when the person is really down on the dumps. I like giving compliments to people, not only because it please them but I also find happiness when I see people happy and feel good about themselves.
How about you?

I don't really exaggerate, but I do like to compliment people. I mean, everyone loves positive remarks right? Negative ones can be really hurtful sometimes, especially when u r sad enough.

I exaggerate my compliments especially when people are down or feel awfully insecure about themselves. I want them to feel good about themselves to the point that they won't feel down anymore.
Thanks for your respond, friend! :)

I never exaggerate compliments, or give false compliments. I'd rather give a true compliment that is heartfelt than to just pay lip service and have it lessen the value of it. I like to see others happy too, but I won't give a compliment that is a half-truth or less than sincere. I know when somebody gives me an insincere inflated compliment, it may make me feel good for a minute, but I have second thoughts about the person that gave it and wonder why they're trying so hard to be liked.

Well, good for you because you are indeed honest. But in my case, I'm pretty sure I don't sound fake because everytime I feel like the person whom I'm giving an exaggerated compliment deserved it, my voice doesn't come out fake since my intention is to please him/her. And I like it that way because it pleases the people, especially to those who really matter to me.
Cheers! :)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this matter. Makes sense. :)
