is philippines a safe place?

I think that would depend on the exact location you are living.. Like for example those who are living in Mindanao especially in the ares where the MILF and the Military always clash forces they are more susceptible to danger.. Unlike for those living here in the North where there is not much war going on, we are less susceptible to danger.. I live here in Baguio City and the crime rate here is really low compared to NCR,, That is why there are more and more Koreans and other foreigners whos prefer to stay here because they believe they are safe.. And also our local government here makes sure that our security is at the utmost priority...

Yes i guess it was...But i still think it is ..As soon as they all calm down ...But some of my friends who are philllippiness went over there and they still had fun and they came back ok.....i guess it is still safe over there....

in every place in the world, there are safe and there are not. so far, i can say it is still safe place since i live there, though am in abroad right now. the thing is, if you happen to mingle with the people, the place will be a very much different for you. just take a look at many foreigners who prefer to live their, sometime with their Filipino families. They have come to adopt the place and environment and they are leading quiet a good life.

Definitely. Once you get there, you'll find that it's actually a peaceful place. Of course you'll spend your vacation in the tourist spots I suppose so there's no need to worry.
