The perimeter (outside) of a rectangle yard measures 1000 feet. If each side of the yard is an integer length. What is the maximum area of the yard to the nearest square foot. Remember: area of a rectangle is length x width Let me hear your answers.

That would depend on the measurements. If the rectangle was 400 feet x 100 feet the perimeter would be 1000 feet but the area would be different from that of a rectangle 300 feet x 200 feet where the perimeter is still 1000 feet.

Sorry. I didn't see the maximum in there. The maximum, keeping to whole integers and a rectangle would be 62,499 square feet. (251 x 249)

close if it were 250 by 250 =62,500 The key was to make all sides equal I know what you're saying Thats a square, but a square is a rectangle great effort
