I started driving when was 16 years old.. I remember back then what my mentor used to tell me to follow the rules of the road always.. I kept that advice with me and I am thankful because it kept me away from any accidents on the road and believe this, I never violated any traffic rules and regulations.. However, when situations of rush hour I seem not to mind all roads signs that I used to obey and just speed up to catch up with my appointment... How's your Driving? Do you follow traffic rules?

most of the time, i follow road signs. sometimes i go over the speed limits, but only when i think its safe enough and specially if i know the road well enough. sometimes just 10mph over the speed limit is so much better, specially if you have to drive more than 100 miles!

I always follow the signs and road rules without a doubt. The signs are there to protect us on the road. The posted speed limits and dangerous curve signs always attract me as my life and others are on the line. I have never been ticketed or even had a warning so I guess I am doing something right.

Road signs are meant for our safety. It is always safer to follow the road safety signals, otherwise chances are you will be hit and it may result in severe damage to body and life. I promptly follow the rules. I do not even jump the signal if there is no traffic on other sides.

I would say I follow road rules 90% of the time. The other 10% is partly me being very silly, & doing a Uturn where I wasn't supposed to, & I was caught.
The other aspect is the speed limit. Thats where I fall down. About one year ago, they reduced the speed limit on many roads, but not all, from 60 to 50kph. The roads shpould be sign posted, but not all are.
I was going at just over 60 on a 50 kph road (not sign posted) & I was caught by a hidden speed camera going both ways. The fine was $300.00.
A few weeeks ago, I was caught again on a different road, which was apparently 50, not 60. The fine was much larger this time.

Wow that area is a curse for you.. You know what here in our country, its not that strict when it comes to speed limits on the highways..That is why vehicles here would fly due to their speed, and most of the time they end up in accidents.. It's sad.. Anyway I'm happy you were able to adjust your driving habits.. It's for your own sake..
