Planning your life --- would you recommend it

Hi. Do you guys maintain a planner, palm pilot, calendar or anything that keeps a schedule of your daily, weekly or monthly activities? I personally don't use one but would you recommend that I do? I like spontaneity in my life. I work full time in an office and have a normal number of tasks during the day. If I have a really busy day, sometimes I forget other tasks that should be accomplished. I get by without a scheduler but does it really make the use of time more efficient? Is your work life balance affected positively?

I think life happens while you are busy making plans. No I don't use a planner, I am a free spirit and like to do things when the mood strikes.

I have a planner but mostly what it keeps track of is doctor's appointments, since I have a lot of health problems and am seeing several specialists at the moment. When I'm working, I keep my work schedule in it, because I don't necessarily work the same days each week or at the same time, and it just makes things easier to have it all written down. I don't think everyone needs to have a planner, but I know I'd be a little lost without mine. I get distracted too easily, and would forget important things that I have to do. =p

I'd agree that a planner would really work for you if you have lots of appointments outside your work. I guess I'll just try jotting down what I need to do for the day not necessarily putting a specific time just so I won't forget. I get easily distracted too!
