How do you not fight with your spouse in front of the kids?

Recently I noticed that when my husband and I yell or fight my 3 yr old blocks his ears and sometimes starts to cry. My daughter has told my husband that he scares her when he yells. We are never physical with eavh other but it upsets me to see how my kids react to it.

We always go into another room or wait until our child is sleeping before arguing. This is a great tool as it allows for both people to cool off and not yell so much (if at all).

i think that is not healthy for the children. this could create some psychological problems in the future. if you need to argue with your husband, do it in privacy.

Power of choice is an awesome thing. Choose where and when to fight or argue. Take time to cool off before opening your mouth. Count to ten or fifty, think before speaking. Use calm voices, not harsh.
