With the hits and bombs being made of the superhero comic book characters there are talks and rumors plenty of what movies should be coming out and who should play the part.
For example Mandrake, should he get a movie? IF so the idea was put out that Criss Angel should play the part, well Criss Angel is a great illusionist, but does this mean he can act? Does this mean he can do the part or do it well?
What comic book hero should get their own movie? Who do you think should play the part?
Should the Hulk be redone? If so who should play it? With the movies for Fantastic Four and X-Men should the next movie be about a group of characters rather than one?

Comic book based movies are extremely dangerous bets for studios. I am surprised that they still keep punching them out actually. They cost a fortune since the special effects have to be huge. The hardcore comic fans are never happy with the watered down end results. The wrong actor (ie, Nick Cage in Ghost Rider)can kill it. There are no surprises since almost everyone knows the backstory. Etc, etc, etc,...... Last thing, previous film/tv treatments can alter the audience sense of the true character of the franchise. Look what happened to Batman with George Clooney. The last Hulk movie was actually true to the comic book and everyone hated it because of the 1970s TV show.
HOWEVER....... IF SOMEONE DOES NOT MAKE A GOOD WONDERWOMAN MOVIE I AM GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!

Well now really bad Wonder Woman movie was made in the 70's with Cathy Lee Crosby as Wonder Woman, makes you wonder did they even LOOK at the story or character before casting her in that 1974 movie? At least with Lynda Carter you had the right look.
So who do you think should play Wonder Woman that is supposed to be released in 2009?
I heard Joss Wheadon is off the project but hadn't heard of anyone else stepping in so of course does this mean that the supposed 2009 release is going to be delayed again?

Jessica Beihl (Blade Trinity) or someone like her. Athletic, Brunette, gorgeous and of course a decent actress. Most of these high profile movies crash because they pick a big name that does not come across on screen as a believable superhero.

I have to agree, that all to often a name that might be popular or be considered a money maker is chosen inappropriately and ruins what might be a good movie.
The choice of Spiderman played by Tobey McGuire was a good one, even though he was not a name at the time.
I don't think they did a good job with the actor who played in Batman Begins I don't think Christian Bale suited the role.
And while I can see where some would consider Lucy Lawless the whole amazonian woman thing I am not sure.
Perhaps there is a talented unknown that those casting can discover. Keeps people from putting their idea of past characters from interfering with the role, though there are those actors and actresses who seem to be pretty much the same character no mattter what role they play.
